I bought this so I could comfortably play games with my husband. I have to set up a smaller tv on the floor and this chair is perfect. The cushioning is firm and it's has survived my 3 year old and 1 year old so far. The fabric is not very soft but I use a waterproof cover and fitted crib sheet from the baby bed to protect the fabric from little accidents. My husband also used this as a bed when he was sick with the flu and he used it several times afterwards as well.
